Refund and Returns Policy

Return Policy

The Painted Cottage does not accept returns on our vintage or custom items. Because of the custom nature of our items they do not qualify for returns. All custom work requires a deposit of 50% with the balance to be paid upon completion. Please make sure to check the measurements for the furniture you are ordering. Take into account doorway width and height as well to make sure you can fit your furniture. Give a few inches of leeway when you take into account where you are placing your furniture since you will not be able to return it.


In case of damaged or lost items please report the damage or missing item directly to the shipper and contact us immediately. Please take pictures of the item, if possible, and send to us. If an item is repairable, please get an estimate for the damages and send it to us and we will send it along with the claim. A claim will have to be filed with the shipping company. We do not take responsibility for damaged or lost items. Do not waive your right to an onsite inspection. It is your responsibility to initiate the claim. When your claim is processed, we will issue a refund for the amount of the item plus shipping fees, if covered in the settlement amount, or issue a store credit for the amount.
