We use UPS for all small packages and UPS rates will apply. These rates apply to the Continental US only. Shipping outside the Continental US is also available. For shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico and Canada there is an added charge. Call or email for details.
Greyhound Xpress is our most Economic shipping carrier. There are size restrictions, the packages must be under 100 lbs and under 81″ in Length, 47″ in width and 31″ in height. Your item will be delivered to the nearest station and you will be required to pick it up.
For all packages over the size restrictions, we use a freight broker to get you the best price. There are 3 options available.
- Residential delivery
- To a business with a loading area
- To a delivery terminal

Shipping Policy Notice:
Make sure that you have someone to help you get your furniture off the truck and into your possession. If this is not possible please let us know so that other arrangements can be made.
Make sure you are referencing the order number on the label and it matches your invoice. Be sure to inspect your item and make sure there are no visible damages. If you did not receive the proper item or you find damages, you should reseal the package and refuse the package before the delivery driver leaves your home. If picking up at the station, refuse the package at the station.
If you are picking up your item at the store or terminal, make sure you bring a blanket or tarp for inclement weather, if exposed, to protect the surface of your furniture.
At The Painted Cottage it is our priority to get your furniture to you on time. Please note that shipping dates are estimates, and not definite. Items that are in stock will ship out in 2 business days. Items that require a freight service such as Greyhound or Freight Carrier require 7-14 business days for delivery. Items not in stock will have a shipping time of 4-6 weeks unless otherwise noted. We also charge a flat rate for deliveries to the NYC area for $110. We deliver to NYC twice a month.
We deliver locally! If you live in the Philadelphia region call ahead and The Painted Cottage will deliver to you! Prices will vary depending on the size of the item and the location of the delivery. Please contact us with a telephone number and address to scheldule your delivery.
